I’ve written about Peace Corps Voices for Mass Humanities’ blog The Public Humanist. The blog’s hosted by the Valley Advocate and you can find my essay here.
Check it out and enjoy!
Before I completely close the books on Peace Corps Voices, I am thrilled to announce a live event featuring an excerpt of the documentary and two of the volunteers it features.
Join us Wednesday March 14 at the Sloan Theater at Greenfield Community College right here in Greenfield, Mass. This program is part of the Pioneer Valley Institute’s spring series.
Hope to see many project supports, friends, RPCVs, parents of PCVs and prospective PCVs there. This also will be a great event for teens or college students considering the Peace Corps.
Spread the word!
I don’t have many details, but I can tell you that KALW in San Francisco has licensed Peace Corps Voices from PRX.
In other words: an hour of exciting radio about the Peace Corps is coming to the San Francisco Bay Area. Listen to KALW or call them for details on the day and time of broadcast.
I’ve been vexed by the absence of Oceania volunteers in Peace Corps Voices… until now! Terry and Charles Contant served in Tonga in the 1970s. Visit the Web Extras page and listen to my conversation with them.
Hear Peace Corps Voices in Kalamazoo, too!
Monday, November 28, 2011 at 9 pm on WMUK 102.1.
So happy to share that listeners across Wisconsin can hear Peace Corps Voices this weekend:
Saturday, November 5th at 3:00pm on the Ideas Network of Wisconsin Public Radio.
For details on stations and communities, check out this Ideas Network link or contact your local station.
Be sure to check out the latest story and video to be added to the site.
New stories are posted on the Share–>Stories page.
The most recent video brought to my attention is available on YouTube. You can follow the link that I put at the bottom of the Share–>Videos page, or just go to PCV’s YouTube stream and find it in the Favorites list there.
WKSU (Kent/Cleveland, OH) bumped PCV for a Steve Jobs tribute last week. But they’re planning to air it Thursday, October 27 at 7:00 p.m.
Folks in the Cleveland area have another chance to catch Peace Corps Voices.
It will be airing on WKSU 89.7 in Kent on Thursday October 6, at 7 pm.
